as im searching 4 an alternatine to crocs, i came across this sandle. asadi. cheaper yet original. hope it will suit the need for a simple but water proof footwear around the campsite. shown here with my new chargers outfitters canvas convertible pants.

a haircut and a plate of kuey teow goreng

Went for a haircut at my fav barber this afternoon. got my self a crew cut, fit for my national park expedition next weekend. and after that, 3 of us went for lunch at a stall nearby. the stall is in front of a small local clinic at sungai ramal baru. got myself a kuey teow goreng. man, it was delicous. tried some meatball from the bakso from one of my friend bowl. not bad for a simple stall. suddenly it reminded me of the food journey that spawned a couple years earlier. hmm...

Im a walker

Sungai Petani, Kepala Batas, Seberang Jaya

Visiting my sick granma in Penang also give me some opportunity for a short trip in the Malaysia's northern parts. My first encounter of local delicacy was Pelita Nasi Kandar. Tried ayam masak kicap and some masak madu gravy but it was nothing to my expectation. maybe id expected too much from them.
the second day, when granma in kepala batas, we did some shopping at Wisma Kailan. To our surprise, the goods were cheaper at almost RM1-RM2 per item. my daughter also tried a couple of tricycle but we decided not to buy it coz the handle was stiff. Later that afternoom, we went to Carrefour Seberang Jaya and we managed to buy some clothes for our daughter. During the night, we went for some mee udang at sungai dua. the price for a plate of mee udang start from rm7. the actual price depends on the weight of the prawn itself. my plate of mee udang cost me Rm8.50. the taste? IMHO, tak de la sedap sangat. but the prawns itself feels juicy and tender.
The 3rd day, i went for some nasi kandar (again!) and the result was no different from the one we hv 2 days earlier. the only good thing was, i manage to buy 2 shirt from the shop nearby :D
Penang. i'll come again (and again) to hv my daughter running in the beaches, parks, and street of Penang.

A sick granny

Went on a ad-hoc trip to penang last weekend coz my grandmother was hospitalised. after 3 days of acute tiredness at hoe, she was sent to Metro Hospital in Sungai Petani. after 24 hours, she transferred to Hospital Kepala Batas as the doctor decided that she is healthy enough to leave the ICU ward. But then, Hospital Kepala Batas transferred her to Hospital Seberang Jaya as they dont hv enough facility.

THE FINAL SHOWDOWN 2010

The finalist are Floor Fever, Giller Battle Crew and Wakaka Crew. Floor Fever are eliminated for 2nd runner-up. The final battle saw Giller Battle Crew and Wakaka Crew give their best and the audience choosen Wakaka Crew for the winner of Showdown 2010. However, my vote are for Giller Battle Crew. I mean, who can forget a flare with a chair. Giller = Crazy.

Maiden (Re)Voyage

Last night, for the 1st time in 3 years, my trusty motorcycle scream on Putrajaya's roads. There are couple of things that need attention, but overall, the bike is in good condition. FC was good, manage to use an almost full tank frm Melaka to Putrajaya and still hv plenty more to spare.

World Cup 2010 : NED vs ESP (Final)

The enduring 120 minutes of the World Cup 2010 Final make me a sleepyhead today. From the 1st minute of the match, Spain launched waves of attack to Holland's defence. But the effort only comes to fruit (?) only on the 116th minutes by the form of Andres Iniesta. The match also saw a handfull of fouls (47) and bookings (14). Personally, my credit goes to Jesus Navas coz he's the one who tear the Dutch tight defence and make way for the others to make moves. Olé Espanól !!!

Spain, as I expected are through to the final for the first time. but this time, the credit goes to Puyol. For his header in a corner kick has make Spain finalist for the first time. Spain could have added one more but Pedro decided to play the ball for himself rather than passing it to non-marked and more skillfull Torres.

The one Germany will hv to mark during the Semi Final is David Villa. Spain should hv another tactic for the match to ensure path to final. David Villa is one goal short from levelling the all-time World Cup Campaign Spanish top scorer Raul Gonzales (9 goals). The Germans will surely do their best to deny that.

World Cup 2010 : ARG vs GER

The match between Argentina versus Germany last night was... nothing. The Maradona's side was powerless under the stunning moves of the Germans. From the 1st goal as early as 3rd minute, Argentina seems lose interest to win or to even plan an attack on Germany's defense. The first 2 goal was sweet. But I feel pity for the Argentinian fans when Germany scored the other 2. 2-0 was very conclusive, but 4-0???

World Cup 2010 : NED vs BRA

Only one word to describe Brasil's defeat to the Netherlands - Joga Bonito. Dunga's Seleção seems non-competetive in this stage of football. The young and ill-tempered lineup lacks of creativity to create real chances in the opponent's danger area. And due to the constant pressure from the Dutch side (similar the ones from the Ivory Coast match), the once leading Brasil broke to the aggresive play and literally gave two goals away. So, when you take Joga Bonito away from Brasil, the cup (and the fans) go away.
